Overview

Our client is a private members' travel club targeting a select group of affluent, highly discerning and often high-profile clients from around the world who seek the finest in travel and lifestyle intelligence and management service.

They provide an unparalleled level of expertise and personal consultancy for our members. With our bespoke services, we inspire, advise, plan, book, and manage the travels of some of the most influential people in the world. They are unique in this regard, and it is their greatest source of competitive advantage. Their opinions are their own, and they are made with their members first in mind.

The Role

As part of its aggressive, but measured growth strategy, we are seeking a new membership secretary/sales manager. With traction in sales due to product upgrades, new pricing, and a concentrated PR effort in the United States, there is an increasing need for additional structure and discipline in our sales and marketing efforts to ensure no missed opportunities. Initially, this position will be global in nature, but as we open offices abroad, certain responsibilities may eventually shift to employees in other countries. We intend to open our first office outside of the UK in New York in 2012.

Job Description

Drive sales on a day-to-day basis in a strategic and disciplined manner in support of the Company's goals

Strategically generate leads

Process leads in a thoughtful, disciplined manner

Involve senior management as appropriate to increase the odds of closure

Provide regular and frequent updates to and often times partner with the Company's COO and Directors with regard to all sales and perhaps some marketing activities. Specific reporting to include sales forecasts, revenues received, etc.

Identify and seize all opportunities to educate the target market and sell our products in an appropriate, on-brand manner

Qualifications

University graduate

Significant sales experience of travel and/or to the affluent. Ideally, the candidate be able to access and understand the wealthy, particularly in the US and UK.

Excellent administrative and organizational skills

A proven strategic thinker who can be depended upon to think creatively and innovatively with regard to sales.

Someone who can translate strategy into goals and see to their achievement

A history of professionalism and responsible behaviour

A true appreciation of and tolerance for the potential challenges involved in transforming a small company into one of greater size

Someone with a demonstrated respect for deadlines and sense of urgency

The ability to work calmly under pressure, prioritize smartly and multi-task effectively

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Someone conversant in Microsoft Office and the internet

A proven track record of resourcefulness

A genuine passion for, knowledge of, and appreciation of fine travel and the highest levels of quality
