About the Position:
Working within classified sales you will form part of a team which books over 1000 advertisements per week, for both print and digital outlets. This will give you a great opportunity to work on both magazines and online.
What we look for in a classified sales executive
This position is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who is looking to develop a serious career in media sales with the UK’s leading consumer publisher.
The successful applicant will have the following qualities / skills:
• A strong desire to pursue a career in media sales.
• A passion or strong interest in print and digital media
• Be a confident and fluent communicator, both written and oral at all levels.
• The ability to source and act on sales leads.
• Ability to meet targets both financial and performance related.
• Have previous sales experience, although not essential.
The responsibilities of the position include:
• Responding to inbound sales enquiries as well as generating leads to canvass.
• Establish, maintain and build strong working relationships with direct clients and agencies.
• To effectively sell classified advertising space across all titles and digital properties.
• Gain complete insight into new and existing customers including developing action plans, understanding previous client activity, taking marketing briefs, qualifying key personnel and delivering solutions within client budgets and timetables.
• Achieve individual sales targets within given yield perimeters and contribute positively towards team and department targets.
• To learn and keep current your knowledge of the magazines and websites which you are accountable for, including rates, sizing, and inventory available.
