As an account manager within the TPL agency sales team, your responsibility is to generate revenue for TPL through the selling of print advertising across the Trader Publishing portfolio of titles.
To establish excellent ongoing agency relations across the agency territory, ensuring that revenue targets are achieved through the selling of ad solutions including display ads, covers, supplements, premium positions, advertorials, competitions and other creative solutions.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Achieve monthly/quarterly and annual team revenue targets for their territory through a consultative sales approach (for example, by creating advertising solutions utilising the full TPL portfolio).
- To establish an excellent relationship with West End agencies and their Northern Hubs. Ensure the achievement of highest standards of customer service and act as a brand ambassador for TMG to all agencies.
- To maintain and grow the territory’s revenues by (1) increasing the share of current clients spend with TPL and (2) bring in to TPL additional clients within their agency territory.
- Work with internal TMG departments to maximise opportunities for advertisers and to drive new revenues into TPL.
- Sell and negotiate advertising packages to agencies.
- Conduct over 13 face-to-face agency meetings per month, five of which must be gained from prospective clients.
- Monitor and manage client relationships to ensure the highest standards of service are achieved.
- Engage in quarterly service meetings with clients to review Customer activity and satisfaction (eg results of campaigns/SLAs etc.)
- Plan all appointments thoroughly and prepare bespoke presentational materials
- Complete a Weekly Business Report and Monthly Report to Line Manager
- Ensure all booking deadlines are strictly adhered to
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- +2 Years media sales experience
- A high level of Media Buying/Planning Agency experience
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, functions etc.)
- Previous multi product selling
- Strategic account planning
