Meet The Real Me has launched a new careers service specifically aimed at university students looking to get ahead in the employment race. The company's signature video CV technology is now being installed in university careers departments across the UK as part of a new university partnership service.

The first installation took place at the University of Wales, Newport, and university partnerships have since been in high demand, with installations underway at the University of Manchester, Hult International Business School, and Richmond, the American International University in London.

Martin Patrick, University Partnerships Manager says: “Our careers team has more than ten years' experience working with students on employability issues so we are delighted to develop this commitment with the launch of our university partnership service.

“With online communication such an important part of everyday life, video is the perfect way for students and graduates to make the most of familiar online tools in their job hunt. Students can make the most of the continued support of their own careers department whilst benefiting from the Meet The Real Me service, which allows them to stand out from the crowd by showcasing qualities that are hard to convey on paper CVs, such as communication skills and strength of character.”

Final-year students will be able to launch and manage their job campaign online with a secure login, creating a V.I.P (Video Interview Profile). This uses webcam technology to combine a guided video CV with a detailed personal profile including qualifications, skills, experience, and an accompanying written CV. Once published, top employers can view these profiles, and students can even use the video service to respond directly to employer questions. Profiles can be updated at any time, giving students a flexible and effective way to connect with employers, and secure that all-important graduate job.
